The ARMS staff includes some of the most experienced archaeologists in the State of Indiana.  We have conducted projects in every county within the state and in every environmental region.  We have worked on sites that cover the complete range of human habitation in Indiana.  ARMS serves as a state and federal repository for archaeological collections and data. We are capable of curating artifacts for our clients. We maintain an extensive library of archaeological literature concentrating on the Midwest. Our library includes a range of sources from general reference material to specific site reports including ARMS contract, research and grant reports as well as reports produced by other firms in Indiana. We spend less time conducting background research because it is readily available in our library.

ARMS is able to provide our clients with the best archaeological services possible utilizing modern technology.  We employ GPS on all of our field projects and can record information at sub-meter accuracy.  We utilize GIS on numerous projects through ARCGIS software.  A total station is employed to provide rapid, accurate instrument surveys of archaeological sites.  We  provide non-invasive gradiometer surveys that can detect archaeological features and reduce the time and cost for Phase II and III excavations.  Our project reports are digitally generated and are easily integrated into larger environmental reports.

Overall, ARMS strives to meet the needs of our clients for timely and professional archaeological consulting within the environment of state and federal laws and guidelines.  Our primary goal is to ensure that all of our projects pass through the review process without revisions or delays in order to provide our clients with the most timely process that is possible.
